How SEAPA Baskets Work
SEAPA baskets are designed to use the natural movement of waves to gently rock the oysters inside each basket. This tumbling action hardens and shapes shells to a consistent size while building muscle.
Separating oysters into single seeds and allowing their shells to knock against each other keeps them clean and maintains the desirable growth shape of 3:2:1 – three times as long and twice as wide as they are deep.
This consistent shape commands premium pricing in markets worldwide and reduces processing time at harvest.
